Progressive Flatfoot

Progressive collapsing foot deformity or “Fallen Arches”, formerly known as adult acquired flatfoot, is a complex condition of the foot and ankle that results in flattening of the arch of the foot as well as other less obvious deformities. Another name for this condition is posterior tibial tendon dysfunction (PTTD). The term covers a wide range  of disorders that may start with only mild symptoms but can progress to a very painful, crippling, and poorly functioning flatfoot.
