Dr. Neal Naveen is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee replacement. His focus is anterior, muscle-sparing hip replacement, knee replacement using kinematic alignment, and complex / revision hip and knee replacement.
Orthopedic Surgery & Adult Reconstruction Specialist
After studying biomedical engineering at Miami University in Ohio, he went to medical school at Indiana University. There he was drawn to orthopedics and joint replacement by seeing patients suffering from arthritis return to the activities they love after undergoing a hip or knee replacement. He completed his residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago and his fellowship in Adult Reconstruction at The Ohio State University. In fellowship he concentrated on anterior hip replacement, complex and “re-do” hip and knee replacement, infected knee and hip replacements, and knee replacement using kinematic (personalized) alignment. He has a particular interest in rapid recovery protocols that get patients moving within hours of surgery and allow many to go home the same day.
Today he treats hip and knee arthritis at every stage, from a first conversation about hip and knee pain to complex revision surgery.
